Saturday fun

What a great Saturday! Beautiful weather. Farmers' Market first, where we met up with Steph and Martha (and Suttree). We had italian ices from Rita's, then lunch at Trio (sorry, Steph!). I got some broccoli, kale and a muffin from Green Man Farms. Then Lily and I went to the Festival of Reading. She really liked the musical entertainment--a fun song about a mosquito burrito (you had the be there!) and rolly polly worms. She was dancing on my hip in the sling and smiling! She would have been clapping if she weren't holding on to me, I think. Saw Bess on our way out. Long line of strollers waiting to take the elevator up to street level, so I was glad we had left it at home and just brought the sling. Then during her afternoon nap, I pureed the broccoli and kale for her!

Wedding weekend

We went to Greenville, SC for my cousin John's wedding, which was beautiful. Lily traveled very well. It was so great to have a vacation for the first time in a long, long while. In the bottom photo, you can see Lily eating a lemon wedge. The top photo shows Lily enjoying the balcony of the hotel. She loved crawling into the room and out of the room, taking care to not let her knees hit the threshold.

For Clay

There was a surprise guest at John and Jennifer's wedding reception!
