Recipe for a Perfect Weekend

This recipe has a lot of ingredients. They are all local and very organic.

Start with scones from VG's and coffee from Three Bears. Add burgers and french fries from Cruze Farm. Gently mix on a hayride.



Let rest.


Mix in friends and fun, a few penguins, butterflies, sharks, campfire, fiddle and swings. Oh, and don't forget the dirt and chocolate.

Lily is a little manic this morning! That's what happens when you wake up at 5 a.m., I guess.

Christmas and 2010

Lily had a lot of fun at Christmas playing with her cousins, and bonding with her new baby doll. Since Christmas, she's been busy growing teeth (including molars, poor thing!) and dealing with cabin fever through our extended bitter cold. Then we got the stomach flu, and are now hoping to have some fun before the next crisis hits! She's eating like a bottomless pit so must be having a growth spurt.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! We had an amazing year, and hope that you did too. We are so very happy to report that Lily's grandmother is now living 15 minutes away instead of 6 hours. That has made life so much more fun.

December happenings

Lily loves her kitties--keeps snuggling into them, which they mostly put up with. We went to a baby shower for Molly and Lily had SO much fun, especially when she won a prize! We had snow last weekend, though I was much more excited than Lily. The overalls photo is from right after Thanksgiving, I think. What a pretty day to be outside. Lily loves walking over to Tina's porch to play with Landon's toys.

The bottom photo is at my doctor's office--Lily had so much fun with the other kids! The other photos are from yesterday. April took her to a bounce place and you can tell it was a hit. I'm so sorry I missed that; will have to take her when Grandmama is here next. = )
